The Centre for Information & Telecommunication Engineering (CITE) is proposed to be a specialized ICT programme poised to bridging the University –Industry Gap through innovative Research and ICT Professional certifications. It is a University-Industry based collaboration with academic degree to be awarded from Engineering. The Centre shall offer a Master degree programme in Information & Telecommunication Engineering .
The Centre will play the leadership role in ICT policy formulation for different tiers of government. The centre will also offer consultancy services especially in the areas of ICT & Telecommunications

Young dynamic graduates of Electrical, Electronic, Telecommunication, Computer Engineering , Computer Science, Physics, Physics-Electronic, Mathematics, Maths Statistics or related fields in physical sciences, who have strong passion to work in the ICT & Telecom Industries.
Candidates will acquire technical skills and professional expertise to design, analyze, model and implement the following: Information Network and Security, Modern Digital Modulation Techniques, Optical Fibre Transmission Networks, Microwave Engineering, Satellite Communication, Intelligent Networks, 5G, Internet of Things (IoT), GSM Mobile Network Architecture, WCDMA(UMTS), LTE, HSPA Networks, Radio Network Planning and Optimization Process, Cloud Computing, Cyber Security , Big Data Analytics, Mobile App Development, Database Management System, Object Oriented Programming, Software Engineering, Project Management and Entrepreneurship, etc.

CITE currently collaborates with Huawei, CISCO and Acatel Lucent to provide hands-on training and professional certifications for her students. In the course of the program, we invite facilitators and industrial professionals from Telecommunications Giants (MTN and Globacom) to train our students on current industry trends in the telecommunication sector. At the end of the program, students will be well equipped with practical applications of telecommunication solutions.
